1. Shake Shack at New York New York

Shake Shack is a nationwide chain fast food restaurant, but that didn’t stop them from opening a location on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. This fast food location has found a home within the walls of the New York New York Hotel & Casino. Here, you can order fresh Angus beef burgers with unique flavors, cheese combinations, and more. Burger pricing starts at just over five dollars, and you can also order hot dogs for about three dollars. Include Shake Shack’s signature crinkle-cut fries and a shake for the full diner experience, and build your full meal for around ten dollars total. While they are open at 11am and do offer a burger with eggs, if it’s early and you’re craving a more traditional breakfast, there are plenty of other breakfast spots on the strip.

2. Pin-Up Pizza at Planet Hollywood

Our next location for an amazing restaurant in Las Vegas sits in Planet Hollywood. Pin-Up Pizza boasts the largest slices of pizza on the Las Vegas Strip. These classic New York-style slices are hand-tossed, made with fine Italian ingredients, and cost only about seven dollars per slice. Moreover, your pizza will be served to you by a rockabilly style pin-up server, rocking this look straight from the 1950s.

3. Dirt Dog

Born in Los Angeles, Dirt Dog has arrived on the Las Vegas Strip. Dirt Dog takes classic American hot dogs and combines them with amazing street food styles.

Try the Elote Dog, which includes bacon, corn, lime mayonnaise and cotija cheese. For a different take, try the Pastrami Dog, which features pastrami, MJ cheese and sweet peppers. Remember to place an order of Filthy Fries too, which come topped with chipotle aioli, cheese and bacon bits. Finally, order a brew to sip with your street food, and finish your meal off with some cinnamon churros.

4. Ramen-Ya Katana

Do you absolutely love trying different kinds of ramen? Make sure you try the Ramen at Ramen-Ya Katana, located within Bally’s Grand Bazaar. This restaurant is one of Las Vegas’ finest, with Michelin recommendations awarded for four consecutive years. This authentic, Japanese-style ramen comes in many varieties, and each is delightful. Try the Pork Chashu Ramen, Lemon Shio, Shoyu or Miso. They also offer Beef Ramen and Karaage Ramen, which includes fried chicken.

5. Peppermill

For one of the oldest cheap restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip, make a reservation at the Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. This diner, located just north of The Venetian Resort and Casino, has been in operation in Las Vegas since 1972. This restaurant has a cool, old-school vibe, in keeping with its origins. 6. Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips

If you adore a good fish and chips dish, you probably have noticed there aren’t many restaurants offering this treat throughout the Las Vegas Strip. This makes Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips, located along the vibrant LINQ promenade, the best place in Vegas for this treat.

Of course, this “fast casual” restaurant doesn’t simply offer one dish of fish and chips. Instead, they offer deep-fried shrimp, lobster, chicken, sausage, and even a fishwich. (A fishwich is a piece of deep-fried cod inside naan bread, with various delicious toppings forming a uniquely flavored fish taco). Each one of these entrees is between $16 and $21, and you can add additional protein to your meal for just a few more bucks.

7. Yard House

Another great cost-effective restaurant along the LINQ Promenade is Yard House. Yard House has extremely affordable happy hour specials, like half-priced appetizers and pizzas, as well as two dollars off of your beer, wine and choice cocktails. Yard House is famous for its “yards” of beer, and happy hour gets you four dollars of the price of this novelty offering. Even when it isn’t happy hour, food prices at Yard House are far from extravagant, so be sure to enjoy one of your meals here during your trip.  Since you will be at the LINQ promenade, that is a prime location for many things to do on the strip.

8. Cupcake ATM

After finishing off an amazing day sampling all the different foods that Las Vegas has to offer, head back to the LINQ Promenade. Here you will find the perfect dessert: a cupcake right out of its own ATM.

This unique venue is located outdoors, directly across from the Wynn. There are many hotels on the strip within walking distance to the Fashion Show Mall. They work with fishermen to bring the freshest seafood to the Mojave desert, which they prepare simply so you can enjoy the authentic flavors. Luke’s signature lobster rolls are superb, and are about $24. 

13. Hash House A Go Go at The LINQ

Hash House A Go Go combines culinary flavors and themes from the Midwest to the coasts. When you indulge here, you will find Midwest-inspired, comfort food eats paired with crafted cocktails. Their famous food is to die for, and not very expensive, all focused around farm-fresh new takes on the classics. These classic dishes include fried chicken, meatloaf, pork tenderloin, pancakes and more. Anything with bacon or sausage, you will find here.

14. Tacos El Gordo
