Don’t Panic: Wynn Has a Few Tickets Left to Their Ultimate Opus One Wine Weekend

If you’re an oenophile, you probably know that Wynn Las Vegas doesn’t mess around when it
comes to their wine and culinary program. Last year they created a significant buzz in the wine
world when they brought in Domain Harlan to team to host a series of three over-the-top
$10,000 a head dinners featuring their respective Harlan Estate, Bond and Promontory
bottlings. But if that wasn’t enough, they are now hosting a once in a lifetime Opus One
weekend.

Kicking off THIS Friday individual events will be priced from a more egalitarian $500, but those
looking for the ultimate “Collector’s Experience” can secure a package for $15,000 for a single
guest or $25,000 for a couple. This includes an all-access pass to the weekend, two nights in a
Wynn Tower Suite room, private concierge service, ground transportation to and from the
airport, tax, gratuity and VIP extras.

The weekend itinerary includes a mockup tasting room (albeit with charcuterie and bites from
SW’s Chef Mark LoRusso), unexpected food and wine pairings from Mizumi’s Chef Min Kim and
some epic dinners dinners. The first will be a nose-to-tail pageantry of beef by James Beard
Award recipient and Wynn’s VP of Culinary Operations, Chef Christopher Lee. Think A-5 Kobe
Beef tartare, beef cheek cappelletti, slow poached beef tenderloin and a dry-aged NY Strip trio.

While this event on Friday at Tableu is only open to Collector’s Package guests, Saturday’s
“Under the Stars” fete hosted by Chefs Christopher Lee and Chef Sarah Thompson (Casa Playa)
has very limited tickets available for $1,500. The latter is al fresco feast and will be set amongst
the resort’s fairway greens. Guests will indulge in three different vintages of Opus One while
enjoying a unique array of open-fired dishes inspired by the open-fire cooking of famed
Argentinian chef Francis Mallmann.

And if that wasn’t enough there will also be a lunchtime bacchanal filled with art, Opus and the
cookery of Chef Joshua Smith at Delilah; a Master Class with Opus One Winemaker, Michael
Silacci at Lakeside where naturally Chef David Middleton will proffer nibbles; and a happy hour
at Aft Cocktail Deck.

Tickets to individual events can be secured here.
