Jenna Tries Soup Dumplings at Din Tai Fung in Aria Resort & Casino

Every week, Jenna tries something new and you should too

By Jenna Nye

OnTheStrip.com recently visited the new Din Tai Fung at Aria Resort & Casino and Jenna got a lesson in how to make–and a taste of–their specialty, Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings made from a Kurobuta pork and broth that bursts upon first bite, fragranced with aromas of fresh ginger and green onion.

Within its show kitchen, Din Tai Fung’s team of dumpling artists makes 10,000 of these “small miracles” each day. Each Xiao Long Bao is carefully weighed and folded by hand to achieve the “golden ratio” of 18 folds.

Not only is the craftsmanship a science, but the consumption is as well. As Jenna learns, one wrong poke, and she might get burned by the hot soup.

Did we also mention Jenna is a vegetarian?
