This is the second delay for the country music superstar due to the COVID-19 pandemic
Garth Brooks fans now have something in common with Las Vegas Raiders fans: Neither of them has seen the inside of the new Allegiant Stadium west of the Strip.
Country music superstar Brooks, a former Wynn Las Vegas headliner, has pushed back his “The Garth Brooks Stadium Tour” stop, scheduled for Saturday, February 27, to Saturday, July 10, at Allegiant Stadium.
All tickets to Brooks’ concert will be honored for the new concert date, according to a news release.
This is the second postponement for Brooks’ concert at Allegiant. The “Thunder Rolls” singer was originally scheduled to christen the home of the NFL team last August. The performance has been delayed twice now due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
Tickets for the concert sold out in 75 minutes after going on sale last March. Allegiant has a capacity of 65,000 seats.
Brooks, whose many hits include “Friends in Low Places,” “Rodeo,” “What She’s Doing Now” and “The Dance,” recently performed at the inauguration ceremony for President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C.
