An emoticon guide to Las Vegas’ top headlines
This week’s column is all about food and drinks. We just got our shots, so we hungry.
Zouk Group Unveils Resorts World Street Eats
???? ???? ???? If you haven’t gotten used to hearing the words Zouk Group in Las Vegas, you will. The Singapore-born lifestyle brand is slowly pulling back the curtain on the nightlife and dining concepts that it will debut at Resorts World Las Vegas. This week, Zouk confirmed Famous Food Streets Eats, a 24,000-square-foot street food offering including 16 “food stalls,” a center bar and speakeasy.
Among the stalls that have piqued our interest early: FUHU Shack and its Peking Duck Burritos; Ten Suns Braised Beef; Tiger Sugar bubble tea shop; Nori Bar made-to-order hand rolls (and more); and the aforementioned speakeasy, dubbed the Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den. BTW, Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den is also my safe word.
#FamousFoodsLV brings critically acclaimed dishes together in an immersive street food destination unlike anything in Las Vegas. Indulge this summer at @resortsworldlv. Learn more: https://t.co/DTv9bDDzta pic.twitter.com/ua6T6plCUm

Will You Take the Victory Lap Challenge?
???? ???? ???? Sometimes a restaurant puts something out there that’s so insane, you just have to applaud the nerve. Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews at Town Square Las Vegas just announced The Victory Lap Challenge, a five-pound pileup of patty melts, a grilled cheese sandwich, pulled pork, bacon, more burgers, two fried eggs, jalapenos, fried pickles, boneless chicken wings—oh, it’s not over—and a combination of barbecue and Sriracha sauces with a side order of fries.
Lordy, King Size Homer couldn’t finish this thing. Why not just call it The Anti-Diet? Murder Burger? Fat Tower? We’ll go with Victory Lap because if you finish the whole thing by yourself within 60 minutes, you get a free T-shirt, and your name goes up on the “Wall of Fame.” So, if you think it’s too late to shove something in the faces of everyone with whom you went to high school, think again.
Raiders Restaurant Taking Reservations Today
???? ???? ???? Raiders Tavern & Grill at M Resort has an official opening date of April 1, but you can start making reservations via OpenTable today. The Raiders-themed restaurant features indoor and outdoor dining, a Raiders merch store and two bars—Remy Martin Bar and Modelo Bar, modeled after the one at Allegiant Stadium. The menu boasts everything from seared salmon to street tacos and wood-fired pizzas. Surely, it will leave a better taste than that last Raiders season.
Wicked Spoon Buffet Back in Business
???? ???? ???? You know Las Vegas is healing when the buffets start to come back. Wicked Spoon Buffet at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will resume breakfast and lunch operations on Thursday, March 25. The buffet includes a $21 “Bottomless Beverages” option with mimosas, champagne, Bloody Marys and Bud Light Draft packages. That’s pretty good considering $21 will probably be the going rate for a drink when the city is fully reopened.
And …
Hakkasan Is Back, Baby!
???? ???? ???? Speaking of drinks, a quick reminder that Hakkasan Las Vegas returns this week (Friday, March 26). The iconic nightclub will reopen as a lounge to allow for social distancing—baby steps—and menus have been reimagined as a scannable QR code. There’s no General Admission at the moment, so you’ll need to make a reservation if you’re swinging by.
