Very Good

15,891 reviews

The Plaza has celebrated 50 years in downtown Las Vegas, and while it embraces its past, it has also become a unique part of the city’s present. You will recognize the hotel by the large mural painted on the 21-story hotel tower, painted by D*Face and inspired by his comic book characters. It also created Studio71, with plenty of selfie-ready backdrops inspired by the era of its creation depicted in a more modern light.

In 2010, the guest rooms and suites got a facelift when it was renovated. The rooms are a little smaller than at some other larger resorts, but they are comfortable and well-appointed with upscale decor. Depending on your needs, smoking rooms, accessible rooms, and connecting rooms are all available. Many of them offer your choice of view, from Fremont Street to the Las Vegas Strip to the beautiful valley mountains.

All hotel guests will enjoy a long list of in-room and hotel amenities. Standard amenities in every room include hairdryers and coffee machines, among others, and high-speed internet. You also have access to the Pool at the Plaza, including pickleball courts and equipment rentals. The Plaza Gym is located just off the hotel lobby, as is a gift shop. You may also request early check-in, rollaway beds, and mini-fridges based on availability.

There are several dining options at the Plaza, including a steakhouse and a farm-to-table restaurant. There’s a little something for everyone, from a pizza joint to a Mexican grill to a coffee bar and a large food court. The Omaha Bar is located in the casino for those seeking a beverage.

Plaza Rewards offers those who play at the casino an opportunity to earn extras based on their play. You’ll find keno, slots, table games, bingo, and a sportsbook, all on-site. If you aren’t big on gambling, the Comedy Works regularly features both well-known and up-and-coming stand-up comedians at the Plaza Showroom.

There’s plenty to see and do in downtown Las Vegas, and the Plaza puts you in the center of it all. Or, feel free to enjoy your comfortable room or suite and unlimited access to the pool and pickleball. However you plan to spend your time at the Plaza, you’re sure to appreciate it.

Swimming Pools at the Plaza Hotel

  • As if the 21-story tall, comic-book-inspired mural overlooking the Pool at the Plaza wasn’t unique enough, guests can also enjoy a game of pickleball.
The Pool at the Plaza is a unique place to hang out. Artist, D*Face, designed the comic-book-inspired mural overlooking the pool deck. Titled “Behind Closed Doors,” this mural is the third to grace the 21-story hotel tower, and there will likely be another at some point, advertising an artist’s talents to Vegas tourists and 200,000+ vehicles on the I-15 freeway every day. Spanning over 70,000 square feet, the Pool at the Plaza is inspired by “vintage palm springs” with nods to the hotel’s significant history in Las Vegas. You’ll find bright colors and clean lines that create a fun and vibrant atmosphere, whether you plan to kick your feet up or go for a splash. Overlooking the Fremont Street Experience, the rooftop pool features a bar for pool guests, easily accessible for those staying in Pool Patio Rooms as well. Cabanas accommodate up to six guests and daybeds up to four, both including a cocktail server. There is a minimum drink purchase rolled into the reservation fee. Also available at the pool are pickleball courts and equipment rentals. This is a great way to hang out with family or friends and is unique to the Plaza, as very few hotels in Vegas offer this popular sport.

Balcony Options at the Plaza Hotel

  • Plaza guests planning to make good use of the pool during their stay should check out the Pool Patio Room with private outdoor space leading to the pool area.
The Pool at the Plaza is a fun space of bright colors and plenty of room to splash with a 70,000 square foot pool deck. One hard-to-miss feature is the vivid, comic-book-inspired mural covering the 21-story hotel tower painted by D*Face. Because the Plaza’s pool is such a unique experience, many guests find it magnetic. If you plan on enjoying the pool quite a bit yourself, take a look at the Pool Patio Room. These rooms bring the fun decor of the pool into your private patio, which includes comfortable outdoor seating, both shaded and sunny. Head to the pool to request your beverages and return to your own private oasis to enjoy them with your significant other or friends. The same vintage Palm Springs vibe of the pool and private patio comes indoors, where you will have either one king or two queen beds, a small desk and matching dresser, and a large, full-length mirror. Most private bathrooms in Pool Patio Rooms include tub/shower combos, but some may have walk-in showers. Premium toiletries are provided. Other in-room amenities include a mini-fridge, safe, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron with ironing board, large-screen TV, and high-speed wireless internet. These rooms are available with accessible features if needed.

Plaza Hotel is a cheap Hotel

  • The Plaza offers guests a great value with budget rooms and suites that still feel modern and comfortable, although lacking space.

There’s no denying that the rates at the Plaza are affordable, especially compared to resorts on the Strip and even to some other downtown hotspots. However, the hotel underwent an extensive renovation in 2010, and the facelift has breathed new life into the historic downtown destination.

On the small side, many standard guest rooms are at just 375 square feet. While they are large enough and still include all the usual amenities, they may feel cramped if you stay with four adults in a Deluxe Room with two queen beds. You may want to think about upgrading to a larger suite. However, more affordable suites at the Plaza make for an easy choice.

With the renovation, luxury touches were added to the suites, making them stand out from suites at other nearby hotels within a similar budget range. The Plaza also has several dining options on-site, a bar, and a comedy club. Plus, it’s located at one end of the famous Fremont Street Experience.

The Plaza is also unique in appearance. While there, be sure to take pictures of the comic-inspired mural that covers the 21-story hotel tower. This is the third mural that has been featured, so the next time you visit, it may be different.

Plaza Hotel is a Family-Friendly Hotel

  • The Plaza makes staying in Vegas easier for families with rooms and suites offering two queens, plenty of connecting room options, and even an on-site food court.

Staying in Vegas with the family can be easier with suitable accommodations, and the Plaza can help. Many of their rooms and suites are available with two queen beds, and larger suites are spacious enough for playpens and travel beds. The hotel offers rollaway beds based on availability as well. Many connecting rooms and suites can make it even easier to ensure everyone is comfortable when traveling with the family while allowing plenty of space to spread out and unpack.

The Plaza has a large food court which makes finding something to eat for dinner a breeze if you don’t want to go far and everyone can’t agree on the same restaurant. With its proximity to the Fremont Street Experience, just steps outside the entrance, it offers even more dining options and plenty of things to do without having to travel far.

The Pool at the Plaza is a unique pool experience, offering a fun, bright atmosphere to play and splash. Try your hand at pickleball at the courts with an equipment rental and see how you do. Kids are sure to love the comic-inspired mural that covers the entire side of the 21-story hotel tower. It’s the perfect selfie backdrop for sharing with friends back home.

Plaza Hotel has rooms with Jacuzzis

  • For an in-room jacuzzi at the Plaza, choose the Penthouse Suite, where the jacuzzi is just one piece of a genuine luxury Vegas experience.

Guests looking for a room that includes a jacuzzi at the Plaza should look at the Penthouse suite. While the Penthouse itself provides almost 1,000 square feet of living space in an open layout, it’s the spa-style bathroom that makes it stand out as a truly relaxing experience.

First, the living area is designed for loft-style living with one large room including a comfortable king-sized bed, a wet bar, a small dining table, and a seating area by the window for a view and a chaise lounge for easy reclining. There is a built-in desk available as well.

Then, the spa-style bathroom elevates the whole suite to something just a little more, with a hot tub as the defining feature. Relax into hot water and powerful jets of the oversized tub to ease tension and relieve the pain of walking around the city as you experience its many attractions. A large walk-in shower allows two to get ready at once, and the private water closet makes sharing the bathroom convenient.

With an ample open living space and this hot tub in the upscale bathroom, the Penthouse is perfect for an intimate and luxurious experience for couples.

Plaza Hotel is a Hotel with Rooms

  • The Plaza Hotel Casino has several room options, from comfortable rooms with high floor views to a pool patio option or a spacious Junior Studio.

There are several guest room options at the Plaza. Each offers a unique list of extra amenities or services depending on your needs. From every stay at the hotel casino, you can expect high-speed WiFi, hairdryers, iron and ironing boards, safes, and coffee makers in every room. All guest room choices have an accessible option depending on availability.

The Luxe and Deluxe Rooms average 325 square feet and are available with either one king or two queen beds. The Luxe Room differs slightly in decor and features a full-length mirror, a separate magnified mirror, and a walk-in shower. You can choose a smoking or non-smoking Deluxe Room, also available with connecting room. Most bathrooms will feature tub/shower combos.

The Pool Patio Room could be the perfect option if you stay at the Plaza to party by the pool. It gives you 325 square feet of space indoors with a contemporary decor of bold colors that spills out onto a private patio with direct pool access. The balcony offers sunny lounge and shaded seating.

For a guest room that feels more like a suite, the Junior Studio is a great combination. It offers a little more space with a larger seating area and a high floor view of either Fremont Street, the Las Vegas Strip, or the mountains surrounding the valley.

Plaza Hotel is a Hotel with Smoking Rooms

  • The Plaza is a smoker-friendly hotel with Deluxe Room and several suite options available depending on your needs.

Deluxe Rooms are among the most popular choices for guests at the Plaza. They are highly versatile, with smoking and accessible options, and some of the most affordable accommodations in downtown Las Vegas. Connecting rooms and choice of one king or two queen beds offer even more value for families and those traveling in groups. In addition, you have your choice of views, from Fremont Street, mountain, and Las Vegas Strip views.

For those who need a little more room but not necessarily connecting rooms, the Mini Suite is ideal for smokers. You still have your choice of view, but all Mini Suites have one king bed. The One Bedroom and Two Bedroom Suites are much larger and offer guests more privacy. Both are available with connecting rooms and a choice of beds for a custom stay based on the number of guests in your party. They also offer spacious living areas with comfortable seating in a similar decor.

All hotel hallways are non-smoking, and some areas of the casino or restaurants may also be non-smoking. If you are ever unsure, you are free to ask an employee who can direct you to the nearest smoking area if needed.

Plaza Hotel has rooms with a view of the Strip

  • Many rooms and suites have fantastic high floor views. While there’s no wrong view from the Plaza, many guests choose the Las Vegas Strip.

The Plaza offers guests several options for rooms or suites with a view of the Las Vegas Strip. There is no wrong view from any of these accommodations located on higher floors in the Plaza tower, but the view of the Strip is iconic, and many guests choose this option when booking. It’s hard to resist the neon glow of Las Vegas Boulevard from nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, especially when you’ve come to the city to see it up close.

Deluxe Rooms and the larger Junior Studio both offer smoking and non-smoking rooms, the option for connecting rooms, and the standard list of convenient amenities that the Plaza offers its guests. The Deluxe Room features either king or double queen beds, while the Junior Studio is only available with a king. You can choose from a view of Fremont Street, the valley mountains, or the Las Vegas Strip.

The Mini Suite, One Bedroom Suite, and Two Bedroom Suite also offer your choice of the three views. Each offers various size options and sleeping arrangements, from one king or double queen beds in each bedroom and connecting rooms to make them convenient for larger groups or families. Suites offer upgraded amenities as well as decor.

All Penthouses are located on the top floor of the Plaza tower and have views of the Strip. They have a loft-style open layout for a comfortable, relaxing stay with beautiful city views.

Plaza Hotel has Suites

  • Three suites at the Plaza give guests more control over the amenities they need during their stay, from incredible views to connecting rooms to bold, upscale decor.

Like the guest rooms, hotel guests enjoying Plaza’s suites can expect a long list of standard amenities, including a safe, an iron with ironing board, a coffee maker, a hairdryer, and high-speed WiFi. From there, each suite is unique to meet your needs. You can check all the boxes but also meet your budget.

The Mini Suite is the smallest suite option at 500 square feet but feels spacious with a separate seating area and private bath with tub/shower combo. It features a comfortable king bed and several booking options, including accessible, non-smoking, and smoking. These suites enjoy high-floor views with your choice of Fremont Street, the beautiful desert mountains, or the Las Vegas Strip.

For even more space and fully separated sleeping and living areas, the One Bedroom Suite is the way to go. Not only do you have 650 square feet but also the option of connecting rooms. One king or two queen beds in each suite can increase the available sleeping accommodations for families or groups. Choose your smoking preference and view.

Luxe Room Suites are an elevated version of the Luxe guest room and a popular choice. A roomy 725 square feet is filled with contemporary decor and bright colors for an artistic vibe that is bold and upbeat.
