Las Vegas Shuttles On The Strip: What You Need To Know

Rideshare services are a gamble these days. When it comes to traveling back and forth from the Las Vegas airport, Las Vegas visitors need to consider their options. Enter: shuttle service.

To clear up any confusion, it should be noted that there are no shuttles between the airport and the Las Vegas Strip hotels. There are regulations put in place by the country that prohibit shuttle service associated with the Las Vegas hotels on the Strip. However, that doesn’t mean the options aren’t there.

We’ve compiled a list of the best companies to look for when going back and forth between Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran International Airport) via Las Vegas airport shuttle. You’ll find an easy way to get to anywhere on the Las Vegas Strip map.

How to Find Shuttles at the Airport

Shuttles pick up passengers outside of baggage claim at Harry Reid International Airport. Exit between doors 7 and 13—although the best doors to leave from in baggage claim are between 7 and 9. Follow signs that read “Shuttle Bus/Limos” to find free airport shuttles and other forms of shuttle pickup.

The baggage claim is located on the ground level of Harry Reid International Airport.

Free Shuttle Services to the Airport

Nothing beats the convenience of complimentary shuttle service to and from big city hotspots, the Las Vegas Strip in particular. Check out some of the free shuttles offered by hotels close to the Strip.

South Point Airport Shuttle: Free

The free shuttle at South Point Hotel Casino is a reliable service for moving between the Strip and the airport. Advanced reservations must be made for this complimentary shuttle service.

This shuttle service is only available for hotel guests, so reserve your South Point hotel room before calling the hotel to schedule airport travel.

Airport pickup location: Level 0 at Terminal 1. Guests at Terminal 3 arrivals must take the tram to Terminal 1 to catch the South Point shuttle.

Hotel pickup location: The airport shuttle leaves from Valet at South Point.

Airport departures: approx. every hour starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 8:45 p.m.

South Point hotel shuttle departures: every hour on the half-hour from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

El Cortez Hotel Airport Shuttle: Free

El Cortez is one of the oldest running hotels in downtown Las Vegas. For easy transport to the Las Vegas airport, take advantage of the hotel’s free shuttle service.

Note: this is a one-way shuttle that only takes passengers to the airport. The hotel does not offer airport pick-up for guests of El Cortez.

Hotel pickup location: Head to the front of the hotel to catch the airport shuttle.

El Cortez shuttle departures: every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m with hourly departures.

Silverton Casino Hotel Airport Shuttle: Free

We love this free shuttle service because it’s very close to the airport. Take the free shuttles for the quick 15-minute journey from the international airport to Silverton Hotel.

Hotel pickup location: The free shuttles pick up passengers at the valet at the front entrance.

Airport departures: every hour on the half hour at varying times, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Silverton Casino shuttle departures: 15 minutes after the hour at varying times, from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

M Resort Las Vegas Airport Shuttle: Free

M Resort is far from the Strip, but luckily there is a shuttle that takes guests directly to their hotel. Keep in mind that shuttles are exclusive to hotel guests and advance reservations are requited at least 72 hours prior to departure. While the hotel used to offer a drop off to Tropicana Hotel, that service is not currently being offered.

Tropicana Las Vegas (from USD $109 )

Tropicana is a cool staple hotel on the Strip that boasts beachy facilities, tons of gaming options and a laid-back vibe fit for travelers and families alike.

M Resort pickup: The airport shuttle leaves from the front doors.

Airport departures: between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Reservations are required in advance.

Free Shuttle Service to the Strip

Tahiti Resort Shuttle: Free

The complimentary shuttle service at Tahiti Resort & Club de Soléil goes to two hotels on the Strip, Tropicana Las Vegas and The Mirage. The shuttle service also takes occasional visits to Las Vegas grocery stores and other hotels throughout Vegas valley. Sorry, no airport transportation options here.

Hotel pickup spot: The shuttle picks up and drops off at the front doors.

Tahiti Resort departures: every hour from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Mirage Las Vegas (from USD $59 )

The Mirage can house your entire group with its two-and three-bedroom suites, and will certainly dazzle your party with balcony views, spa services and beyond.

Downtown Loop Shuttle

This free shuttle is perfect for traveling to a selection of Strip hotels and to some of the hottest spots downtown.

The Downtown Loop runs Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. with special “First Friday” routes. Stops include the Arts District and Brewery Row, making it even easier to sample Las Vegas breweries.

Las Vegas Free Shuttles: Paused

Unfortunately, the pandemic has placed a hold on several popular shuttles going to and from the Vegas Strip, the Las Vegas airport and downtown Las Vegas. The following hotels offer shuttles that are on permanent or temporary hold as of May 2022.

Sam’s Town Shuttle: Free

The multi-stop Sam’s Town shuttle is an excellent method of transportation between several hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Street and other off-Strip hotels. There are five journeys between downtown hotels and the Strip. Sorry, no airport shuttles here.

Harrah’s Las Vegas, a Caesars property, has some of the best options and most diverse accommodations on the Strip.

“Round Trip” Downtown Loop

There is one trip from downtown Las Vegas to Harrah’s hotel between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. from the same stops.

Downtown loading spot: The shuttle drops off at two spots: Fremont Street and California Hotel. See below for specific spots.

One Way: Fremont Hotel to Sam’s Town

Palace Station Shuttle: Free

Offering routes between the airport and Fashion Show Mall, Palace Station Hotel and Casino offers a dependable Las Vegas airport shuttle service that is for registered hotel guests only.

Airport pickup spot: Go to stalls 21,22 and 23 on the ground level of the Las Vegas airport

Palace Station pickup spot: Head to the outside door.

To take the Palace Station shuttle back to the hotel from Fashion Show mall, head out to the front entrance.

While free shuttles make their comeback, look into the other services available for shuttling (pun intended) back and forth in Las Vegas.

Bell Trans Airport Shuttles

This is the ultimate service for individuals and group shuttles looking to go back and forth from the Strip. Hotel guests can book with as little as a few hours’ notice, and private shuttles and charter buses are also available for reservation.

The Deuce and Other Las Vegas Buses

In any event, a Las Vegas airport taxi will do the trick for getting to and from the Strip. The taxi stand is also located outside of the airport baggage claim doors. These are some of the premier companies to ride with.
