The Las Vegas Strip was designed with pedestrians in mind. But you may want to rent a car for added comfort and convenience — plus it makes it easy to travel away from the tourist corridor to Downtown, Summerlin, Boulder City and even natural wonders like Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead.

Car rentals are in tight supply as we emerge from the pandemic, so book a reservation early. Here are your best options for where to find a car rental on the Strip.

1. McCarran Rent-A-Car Center

Las Vegas has one of the most convenient international airports in the world with a runway that pushes up to Las Vegas Boulevard. The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center is actually off-site from the airport proper in a separate facility that hosts counters for 10 leading rental services: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty.

Shuttles come and go frequently from both airport terminals and short-term parking is easy and convenient for those getting picked up or dropped off by a friend or family member.
