“O” by Cirque du Soleil
Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort is home to “O”, one of Cirque du Soleil’s best shows. The Canadian entertainment company is famous for surrealist displays of art in motion, with gymnasts and other performers working together to create a striking visual experience. “O” is so-named because it sounds like the French “eau,” which translates to “water.” The aquatic show features synchronized swimmers, acrobats, and divers who weave a tale of love and adventure in a gripping dreamscape. You won’t be able to see “O” anywhere else, as the show only runs at Bellagio Hotel Vegas’s opera house-inspired theater.

Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art boasts that it’s “where great art goes on vacation.” This exhibition space of Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort hosts fine art from collections around the world. Previous exhibits include the works of Faberge, Warhol and Picasso.
The current exhibition, running between February 23 and September 10, entitled “In Bloom”, uncovers a fresh introduction to Spring, offering explorations of rebirth, identity, abstraction, humanity, and forces that move us to collective change. The exhibition features works by Regina Bogat, Nick Cave, Salvador Dalí, Ai Weiwei, along with many other artists, courtesy of Tia Collection (Santa Fe, NM).

How Rewards are Calculated
In the long run, the house keeps a piece of every dollar a gambler puts at risk in a casino. That’s why employees at Las Vegas casinos are happy to offer rewards to loyal gamblers. Comps are based on the average dollar amount a player is expected to lose each day, known as average daily theoretical, or ADT. It’s unrelated to how much you actually win or lose.
To calculate your ADT at a table game, the pit boss observes your play. ADT is determined by the type of game you’re playing, your average bet, and how long you stay at the table. In the end, the casino comes up with a dollar figure representing how much it expects to win from you each day, and comps you around 20% to 30% of that amount.

How to get More Comps
Playing slots or video poker at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort is the fastest way to earn MGM Rewards Points. You can’t get points without a Player’s Card, but there are still times it’s best not to use one—primarily, when you don’t plan to gamble long or invest much money. There’s a very real reason why. If you were to put $500 into play over five hours on a Saturday, then blow off $50 before your flight on Sunday, you’ll ruin your good rating. In situations like that, you should go ahead and play on Sunday—just don’t use your players card.
It may not be what you had planned, but you’ll earn the most comps by depleting your entire gambling budget in one day at the same casino. Gambling $600 during the same day will earn you a much higher rating and more free offers than betting $200 in chips each day for three days.
Back-End Comps

Video Poker
Video Poker offers some of the best odds in the casino, and is a popular way to earn comps. To play, start with five cards on a video screen and choose which to keep or redraw. Press the hold button under each card you wish to keep, spin the reels and see your new poker hand. There are mathematically correct cards to hold on every hand.
Tip: Study strategy charts to learn how to always make the right move. Strategy charts are available online and in casino gift shops. You’re permitted to consult them while you play.
Blackjack
The Bellagio has three blackjack tables which use two decks and pay 3:2. The limits are $100 to $10,000, the dealer stands on soft 17 and double after split is allowed.
Six deck shoe games are in abundance with over ten open for business on the casino floor. Six of them pay 6:5, with bets from $25 to $10,000. Conditions include double after split, resplit aces, late surrender. and dealer stands on soft 17.
Four additional six deck tables pay 3:2. The limits are $50 to $10,000, dealer hits on soft 17 and late surrender is permitted. It’s ok to double after split and resplit aces.
There’s a right way to play every hand in blackjack. You’re up against the dealer and whoever can come the closest to 21 without busting wins. Basic strategy lowers the casino’s edge to 0.5% when followed perfectly. One basic strategy rule that may surprise you is standing on a 12. When you have a 12 and the dealer’s up card is 4 – 6, the correct move is to stand. Also, stand when you have 13 and the dealer is showing 2 – 6. Basic strategy charts are available online and at casino gift shops, and it’s okay to use them at the table as long as you don’t slow down the game.
Card counters make money when there are more high cards like 10 – ace left in the deck than low ones, like 2 – 6. When the count turns positive, a counter starts to raise his bets, and may play multiple hands at one time. When it turns negative, a counter will bet minimum or leave the table.
Slots
Twenty-four hundred one-arm-bandits line the casino floor at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort. Among the most popular is the Megabucks with a jackpot that starts at $10 million and grows until someone claims the winning ticket. Nevada’s Megabucks Progressive Slot Machines are in the Bellagio Hotel Vegas and more than 125 casinos across the state. Before you set your sights on the jackpot, be aware that the payout percentage is much lower on progressive machines, so you will get fewer small payouts and lose more often. However, it only takes one spin on a progressive machine to win life-changing money.
Roulette
A standard roulette wheel has 38 slots and it’s up to the players to bet on which slot the ball will land in. The slots are numbered one to 36, zero and double zero. Gamblers can also wager on odd/even, red/black and more. The dealer spins the wheel releasing a ball, and then it’s time to place your bets. Place a $10 chip on a single lucky number and it’s called a straight bet. Get your $10 back plus an additional $350 if you win. It’s a long shot, but at 35:1, it has the highest payout ratio at the table.
The Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort features a European, or single zero roulette wheel. The majority of casinos offer only double and triple-zero wheels. A single zero wheel offers the player better odds because there are fewer slots for the ball to land in. The house edge at a single zero table is 2.7%, as opposed to a 5.26% house edge at a double zero game.
Craps
The craps table is the friendliest place in the casino. Around 90% of players bet the Pass Line, or with the shooter. When they roll a winning number, everyone wins.
The players take turns playing the role of the shooter, and the first roll of your turn is called the come-out roll. Shooting a seven or 11 is called a natural and win. But rolling two, three and 12 are losing rolls. Hit a four, five, six, eight, nine or 10 and that becomes the come-out point. To win, roll that number again before rolling a seven. Roll a seven first, lose the hand and your turn is over.

The Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort’s Poker Room is home to the annual World Poker Tournament Five Diamond World Poker Classic. Forty poker tables and two high-limit rooms fill this 7,000-square-foot smoke-free space. The high-limit Legends Room is a two-table enclave named to honor poker’s greatest players.

Baccarat
The first thing you do in baccarat is guess who will win the hand, before the cards have even been dealt. Put your chips out for the player, the banker, or a tie. Next, the player and the banker are each dealt two cards face up. The best hand in the game of baccarat is a nine. If the player or banker draws an eight or nine, they win. If the totals are both nine or eight, it’s a tie. Draw any other number and the dealer consults the rule book. A bet on the banker gives the best odds in the game.
Pai Gow Poker
Another game you can try at Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort, Pai Gow Poker, is a lot like traditional poker, but the ways in which the games are different are unusual. First, a five-high straight beats a king high straight in Pai Gow. A wheel, or Ace – 5, is the second highest straight in Pai Gow, only behind 10 – ace. In Hold’em a wheel is the lowest straight.
Pai Gow Poker has also removed the royal flush from the top spot among poker rankings and replaced it with Five of a Kind. A Pai Gow Poker deck includes a joker that can be used to complete a straight or a flush. It can also be used as an ace to make five of a kind.
The Pai Gow Poker player has to make a two card hand and a five card hand. The five card hand has to out-rank the two card hand which can only consist of high cards or a pair. Make two hands that beat both of the dealer’s hands to win.
Pai Gow
This game is played with dominoes instead of cards and it’s one of the most difficult games on the casino floor. To put it simply, four dominoes are dealt to each player, the dealer and each empty seat at the table. The players have to make two poker hands: a high hand and a second-high hand. Win by beating both the dealer’s high and low hands.
Let it Ride Poker
Let it Ride is a unique poker variant available at Bellagio Hotel & Casino Resort. You can pull back one of your bets after you’ve seen your hand, and pull back a second bet after the first community card is revealed. The other player’s cards are irrelevant, and so is the dealer’s hand. A win is based on a player’s ability to draw to a pair of 10’s or better.
After you look at your cards, tuck them under your first bet, if you like your hand, and Let it Ride. Otherwise, scratch them on the table to signal the dealer that you want to pull back your first bet. Two community cards that can be used by any player to improve the strength of his hand are face down on the felt. The first one is unveiled and the player chooses to let it ride or pull back his second bet, but the third bet remains on the table. After the dealer turns over the second community card, he reveals the player’s cards and identifies the winners.
Three Card Poker
Win by making a higher three-card poker hand than the dealer. The rankings are nearly identical to those used in traditional poker. The differences are that in Three Card Poker, three of a kind beats a straight and a straight beats a flush. Straights and flushes in this game only require three cards to complete.
The game starts when a gambler bets the ante and, in some cases, makes the Pair Plus side bet. He’s dealt three cards, and so is the dealer. After seeing his hand, he can raise or fold. If the player raises, the dealer turns over his cards. The dealer needs queen high to continue If he doesn’t qualify, only the ante pays. If the dealer qualifies, the higher poker hand wins. The ante and the raise pay even money. A strategy tip: Don’t fold too many hands. Raise if you’re dealt a Q-6-4 or better.
