Extended engagements by big-name headliners are expected to make a major comeback in 2021
In a sign that entertainment conglomerate Live Nation is banking on artist residencies to fuel Las Vegas’ comeback in 2021, the company is promoting Senior Vice President Amanda Moore to lead its residency business.
Moore, who launched Live Nation’s Las Vegas office in 2015, will now oversee all booking, marketing and business operations for the company’s Las Vegas residencies. Moore’s slate is expected to be packed as the city’s entertainment industry bounces back from its pandemic hiatus and resident artists return to their homes on the Strip.

Live Nation produced 300 residency shows—from Billy Idol and Willie Nelson to Florida Georgia Line—in 2019, and Moore is currently preparing to launch one of the company’s most-anticipated 2021 residencies, Usher at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, in July.
Among the artist residencies on Moore’s resume: Aerosmith’s “Deuces Are Wild” and Lady Gaga’s “Enigma” at MGM’s Park Theater and Jennifer Lopez’s “All I Have” and Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life” at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater—also home to the Live Nation-produced Shania Twain “Let’s Go” residency.
Prior to the pandemic, the company had been in the final stages of launching Sting’s “My Songs” at The Colosseum and Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible” residency at Zappos Theater. Both are expected to begin in 2021.
