Max Pacioretty continues to be a hero after regulation

The Knights faced tough tests last week against playoff-caliber teams but responded nicely to the adversity.
Let’s look at some praiseworthy plays from the last few games.
Keegan Kolesar Nets His First
The Golden Knights kicked off the week with a dominant win over the St. Louis Blues.
One of the best moments of the week came in the third period when forward Keegan Kolesar finally got the first goal of his NHL career.
After going 25 games without scoring, it was about time the 23-year-old was rewarded with a goal.
The infectious smile on his face said it all.
After the game, Kolesar had to laugh at his teammates’ enthusiasm.
“[I got] a lot of congrats,” he said. “I think they may have been more excited than I was.”
Hopefully, this tally is the first of many!
Fleury Flashes the Leather
Another week, another highlight from Marc-Andre Fleury.
Yes, the veteran netminder was his stellar self once again during Saturday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche.
It was a much-needed rebound performance, as Fleury gave up five goals in a game for the first time this year during Thursday’s meeting with the Avs.
This larceny with the glove on Devon Toews was his best work of the afternoon.
The Golden Knights ended up winning 3-2 in overtime, marking the 483rd career victory for Fleury.
He is now just one win behind Ed Belfour (484) for fourth on the all-time NHL wins list.
Pacioretty Pockets Another OT Goal
In order to get Fleury the victory, someone had to score in overtime for the Golden Knights.
Lo-and-behold, Max Pacioretty was the hero yet again.
It may not have been the prettiest goal he has ever scored, but the win ensured the Golden Knights stayed atop the West Division.
Pacioretty sits tied for fourth place in the NHL in goals (18) and game-winning goals (5).
He also could write history as his four overtime goals in 2021 are the second-most ever in league history. Only four players have ever scored five overtime markers in the same season.
The Golden Knights have 24 games left in the regular season. Can Pacioretty keep his overtime heroics up?
