Jenna Nye began with launching OffTheStrip.com, a digital media site for locals in Las Vegas. Originally from Canada, the young entrepreneur identified a need to demonstrate to consumers that there is more to Las Vegas than just the Strip, thus the idea for OffTheStrip.com was born. Today, while continuing to fulfill this goal she also has grown to love the Strip. In addition to leading both Off & On The Strip, Jenna regularly speaks with and coaches small business owners on the benefits of utilizing social media to help them reach their goals. While technology and digital applications are Jenna’s professional passions today, she began her career in film. Jenna is a member of the Screen Actors Guild with three feature films to her credit. She studied philosophy at Ryerson University in Toronto, and is an avid Vegas Golden Knights fan.
Melinda Sheckells, editorial director of OffTheStrip.com and OnTheStrip.com, is an award-winning editor, writer and content producer. Melinda joins On The Strip with a wealth of experience having previously helmed many of Las Vegas’ top publications and websites, including Vegas/Rated, VegasSeven and numerous high-end in-house publications for integrated casino-resorts including Wynn, Venetian, CityCenter, Hard Rock Hotel and a coffee table book for Caesars Palace. In addition to editing, Melinda has written about Las Vegas for national and international publications including American Airlines, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Forbes Travel Guide, People, Celeb Magazine, Life & Style, Hospitality Design, Los Angeles Times and more. As a television correspondent, Melinda frequently appears on Los Angeles’ KTLA morning news to talk about Las Vegas. Additionally, she is a weekly contributor to KTNV Channel 13 where she discusses topics ranging from food to shopping. Her segments Tasty Tuesday and Wanderful Wednesday are nationally syndicated.
Prior to joining On the Strip, Josh was a freelance designer/developer for several years. He’s worked on a wide variety of digital marketing, design, and tech projects in various industries. When he’s not working, you can find him with a guitar or Xbox controller in hand.

Michael Fillipone’s specialties include working with entrepreneurs and business executives on branding strategies that access the power of great generic domains for maximum leverage. He also helps with domain strategy and consulting. In the past, he has managed over $10 mm in SEM for his own brands. He has extensive knowledge of online travel verticals – Flights – Hotels – Rentals Cars and toll-free branding. He joined the On the Strip team as he recognized huge potential in the Vegas market.

Jen Avison Smith is an award-winning writer from Thousand Oaks, California. As an avid traveler and pole dancer, her written work has appeared in several international pole dance magazines, as well as tourism websites and lifestyle blogs. When she’s not writing or pole dancing, she can be found out and about in Las Vegas, exploring all of its coffee shops and hiking trails.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her on the dance floor, vlogging or sipping tea while listening to her favorite music.
Las Vegas native Melissa Gill is a full-time staff writer for OTS Media. She is currently completing a degree program in journalism and media at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. When she’s not covering the latest happenings on and off the Strip, Gill is taking in a good book. Her literature leanings include fantasy, speculative fiction and poetry. As a true wordsmith, in her off-time you can find her playing Scrabble with her husband, Chris.
