A Gathering of Exotic Animals
Mandalay Bay is more than just pomp and circumstance. All of the animals residing in the Shark Reef Aquarium are protected and promoted for conservation! The aquarium itself recycles exhibit lighting to LED, water, and sustainable seafood for its residents!
The goal of the Shark Reef Aquarium is to promote the breeding of these unique and endangered animals, help marine biologists learn more about sharks, and rescue rare sea turtles!
Have your family learn more about animal breeding and witness the majestic exotic fishes available for viewing in the aquarium. Visit the glass tunnel that has its audience marveling as the animals swim above and around you!

Feeding the Animals
As fun as it sounds, feeding a komodo dragon is a dangerous activity. However, the aquarium does allow people of all ages to feed their other more friendly residents!
Why not have you and your children experience feeding a real-life stingray? If you’re up for it, you can even feed the sharks on the reef themselves!
Don’t worry too much about getting drenched in aquarium water, especially if you plan on feeding the turtles instead!

Mandalay Bay is a 43-story hotel located at the heart of the strip. MGM Resorts International owns the hotel, making it a safe place to book if you want to spend more time there!

Hallow-reef & Trick-or-treating
This Halloween is an extra special event for the Shark Reef Aquarium. All the trick-or-treaters in their costumes will experience spooky but kid-friendly tunnels while visiting their favorite aquatic species!
Kids under 12 in their favorite costumes receive complimentary admission, delicious treats, and discounts for admission up to $7!
Red Cross Blood Drive
Shark Reef Aquarium does more than inspire future marine biologists. The hallow-reef event this 2023 aims to help out the lack of blood donations in partnership with the Red Cross!
You can do your good deed and have fun with the fish at Mandalay Bay South Convention Center, Room Lagoon H.
There are no fees included for donating blood. However, you will require a scheduled appointment at the Red Cross website. Remember to put in the sponsor code: Shark Reef Mandalay Bay!

First Responders and locals of Southern Nevada will enjoy complimentary entries to Hallow-Reef and a parking voucher! All they would need is a valid ID to receive the four tickets!

Red Cross Donator Special Admission
October 27, 2023 (Friday) is a special day honoring the community. American Red Cross in partnership with the Hallow-Reef Event will be on site for those interested in donating blood.
- Volunteers must be 17 years old or above.
- 16-year-old volunteers must bring parental consent.

Everyone knows how difficult it is to find free parking on the strip. Thankfully, there’s a free parking voucher for participants in the blood drive!
Eligible volunteers are also automatically given a free complimentary pass to the Shark Reef Aquarium Event 2023 Hallow-Reef. and a free parking voucher on the day of the donation.
