In the past ten or so years, the Venetian has quickly climbed the ranks of best places to visit in Las Vegas. Simply walking through the Venetian is like a vacation all by itself. The marble floors, Grand Canal Shoppes, live opera and gondola rides take you away from the desert and transport you to Italy. Stay close to all of its lovely amenities when you book a suite at the Venetian.

Suites at the Venetian are a step above other accommodations on the Strip for a few reasons. First, only suites are available here. There are no standard rooms. But, these suites are larger than typical Vegas rooms, starting at 650 square feet. Premier Suites provide you with over 1,000 square feet to stretch out after a long day of touring. Finally, Top Tier Suites provide an even more elegant level of luxury for those hoping for an elevated experience.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Las Vegas vacation without some gambling. So, head downstairs to the Venetian’s exciting casino floor. USA Today has dubbed it the Best Las Vegas casino, with Business Insider also approving it as one of the Best Casinos in America.

There are a number of kid-friendly restaurants in the Venetian too, like Black Tap Craft Burgers and CrazyShake, for those necessary vacation indulgences. Be sure to wait an hour before swimming in one of the pools inside the massive complex, which are kid-friendly with the exception of the European pool. When it's time to return to the room, kids can retreat to the sepeare living areas of the suite to watch their favorite shows, or grab a nap while the adults sneak in the Saturday cartoons.

Explore 22 Years of Luxury

The Venetian, an homage to traditional Italian architecture, has dazzled visitors and locals alike for over 20 years.

The History of The Venetian Resort

This authentic theme resort opened at the turn of the century in 1999. The Venetian’s original motive was to exist as “the largest resort on The Strip.” Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson spearheaded the project, forgoing the initial plans to create a trademarked Sands Hotel to coincide with its international headquarters. The inspiration — and eventual namesake — of the resort was the Italian city of Venice, with its distinct gothic architecture and web of canals.
a night view of the Venetian Resort sign
Now, with the Palazzo tower standing proudly adjacent to the original tower, and its sister hotel located in Macau, the Venetian Resort is a touchstone for quality on the Las Vegas Strip. Its roster boasts over 4,000 suites, with activities, dining and entertainment as famous as the resort’s original influence.
The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel Macau
The Venetian Resort has hundreds of amenities for every type of guest. The Grand Canal Shoppes, which connect the Venetian to the Palazzo, is a trove of delights with celebrity restaurants such as Buddy V’s and Delmonico by Emeril Lagasse. The gondola rides, both indoor and outdoor, are the trademark leisure activity of the Venetian resort, and international names in dining such as TAO add to the millions of guests that cross the threshold into the resort each year. The Venetian is found in the middle of the Strip, on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard, between the Palazzo and Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. As of 2021, the Venetian is a Sands property. However, new ownership under Apollo Global Management is expected to be implemented by the end of 2021. All branding will be preserved, with name changes to some facilities.
