History of Excalibur

Excalibur Hotel & Casino opened its doors on June 19, 1980. At the time, it was the largest hotel in the world. Before the construction of Excalibur, the property location had been slated for another theme-resort, Xanadu. Unfortunately for Xanadu, a deal could not be secured and Circus Circus Enterprises constructed Excalibur.

The property features an elaborate castle façade and medieval elements throughout the resort. The kid friendly theming, however, doesn’t stop with decor. Inside you’ll find the Camelot Steakhouse, Fun Dungeon, the Sherwood Bar and the iconic Tournament of Kings. Where you won’t find yourself living in medieval times are inside the nearly 4,000 updated and modern hotel rooms.

Dick’s Last Resort

Dick’s Last Resort, known for their outrageous and unpredictable service, eclectic and strange décor and anything goes mindset. Vagabond

While numerous dinner spots on the Las Vegas Strip observe a strict dress code, Vagabond at Excalibur does not. At Vagabond you can enjoy a savory sit-down dinner without the pretentiousness of an upscale joint. Traditional bar fare is on the menu with classics like the Big ‘Ol Pretzel and some Nashville Hot Chicken.

Bucca de Beppo

In a resort that caters to families, it makes sense to have a family-style restaurant on property. Bucca de Beppo, a well-known Italian restaurant, offers a lively atmosphere and classic Italian dishes. For the picky eaters, pizza is always a safe bet. Dining with a large group? Sit at the Pope’s Table featuring a large lazy Susan at the center to conveniently pass the spaghetti.

The Camelot Steakhouse

This Zagat Award-winning restaurant impresses diners with the finest cuts of beef and the freshest seafood. For a unique experience with a group of 10-12, order the Camelot Feast. The feast will fill your bellies with nine signature dishes from the steakhouse including a Tomahawk RibEye, Cornish Hens, Honey Fig Tarts and more. The bountiful meal will make your tastebuds rejoice. And while your mouth may be watering at the thought of that perfect medium-rare steak, fear not. Temporarily closed at the time of this writing, be sure to check ahead for hours.

Drenched Bar & Grill

Poolside you can feast at Drenched Bar & Grill serving up midday meals Monday thru Sunday. Wearing a swimsuit does not mean you can’t indulge, after all you’re in Vegas and on vacation. Order a selection of snacks from the Poolside Bites menu and sharing with your friends. Nothing says poolside better than a piña colada.

Food Court

Excalibur also offers a selection of fast-food including Johnny Rockets, Baja Fresh and their very own Food Court. Both the classic American fare of Johnny Rockets and the fresh, flavorful, Mexican cuisine of Baja Fresh can be found on the casino floor. Just head left down the walkway by the table games and the restaurants will be on your right. The food court features a variety of favorites including Starbucks. To find the food court go past the table games on the casino floor and take the escalator to floor two. Once you step off the escalator take a right and you will find a mecca of delicious, quick-serve snack and meal options.
