Take a Dip in These 7 Pools on the Strip (Plus 1 off the Strip)

When you need a wet break when your bets start to run dry, the Las Vegas Strip is a mecca of some of the most sensational swimming pools in the country.  Whether you want to beat back that hangover at an ultra-chill oasis or socialize amidst a sexy crowd that oozes the carefree bliss of youth, you’ll find the vibe that suits you best on the list of top pools on the Strip below.

Pools on the Strip

1. The Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan has long worn the crown for the hippest hotel in the city, and their pool areas are no exception. A popular hotel choice and rendezvous point for beautiful twentysomethings and thirtysomethings since the day it opened, the resort has three pools that are among the best swimming pools on the Las Vegas Strip.

The multi-level Boulevard Pool is the largest with unobstructed views of The Strip, along with fun programming that ranges from ice skating, film screenings and occasional concerts. For Sunset Cocktail Hour every Thursday evening through mid-September, expect a DJ and an Insta-ready, spritz-slurping crowd who mixed and matched fresh fruit and housemate syrups from the create-your-own-cocktail cart. Very cool indeed.

2. Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace

Every city has a shortlist of must-visit spots, if only to give blaring proof to your less-traveled friends of where you were. Caesars Palace is one of those iconic places, and the Garden of the Gods is an ideal background for that selfie. The seven pools are named after Roman gods and each has their own unique atmosphere to match.

Looking to play blackjack at a swim-up table? Try your luck at Fortuna Pool. Tan topless? Mingle with Euro types at Venus Pool. Looking for action? The Neptune Pool is the largest of them all. But if you want to rub elbows with celebs and high rollers, take a dip in the exclusive Bacchus Pool—that is, if you can get in.

3. The Pool at Resorts World

See what all the buzz is about at the Resorts World pool complex, a 5.5-acre outdoor paradise on the 5th floor of the hotel. The property is the first entirely new hotel to be built on the Strip in over a decade, and their sprawling playground includes seven sparkling pool experiences as well as lawn games, plenty of lounge chairs, and multiple bars and restaurants. It is also where you’ll find the only infinity-edged pool on the Strip, which easily makes it one of the best.

Fun Fact: the outdoor playground is dotted with trees that were salvaged from the original Stardust Hotel, for a subtle homage to the property that once stood in the same place.

4. Mandalay Bay Beach

Do you want a water world with lots of options (and people) and a serene oasis to run once you’ve had enough? Lucky for you, Mandalay Bay Beach is only steps away from the upscale hideaway at the Four Seasons Las Vegas, a non-gaming hotel tucked inside Mandalay Bay. Though both easily rank amongst the best swimming pools on the Las Vegas Strip, they are as different as a bottom-baring thong and a granny fanny tankini.

5. Four Seasons

For those who aren’t quite ready to splash in the jam-packed pool scenes found elsewhere on the Strip, the Four Seasons pool is the choice. There’s just one pool and eight cabanas, where each pool goer gets complimentary hourly amenities like frozen-fruit skewers and spritzes of Evian water. If guests feel like they want more action, their key card works over at Mandalay Bay Beach, too. Mandalay Bay Beach is an 11-acre aquatic playground with three large pools, a lazy river, 2,700 tons of white sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool. A family-friendly boozy backyard pool party is the vibe you’ll get here, which can be fun—especially for the young and young at heart.

6. The Pool Deck at The Venetian

The two-acre Venetian pool deck just got a facelift, and boy is she looking good. Choose from four large pools where in-pool ledge lounge chairs beckon sun lovers to recline with their cocktails, while artfully positioned daybeds in the center of the pool will command your camera’s attention. The European-style garden feels sophisticated and fabulous without being pretentious.

For the ultimate experience, you and your group will want to book one of the 10 perfectly appointed cabanas—four of which have their own plunge pools, air conditioning, built-in charging stations, and perhaps the best amenity of all, a private restroom. If anything is worth the splurge, this is it.

7. The Pools at Wynn and Encore

Though their party pools are amongst the best in the world, the non-party pools at Wynn and Encore are equally world-class and are frequently praised among the best swimming pools on the Las Vegas Strip for their quiet elegance. There is no shortage of comfy chaise lounges from which you can gaze out over the water while you soak in the sun with a cocktail in hand. Just sitting near the twinkling pools here can make you feel like a VIP, so be sure to dress the part.

Pools Off The Strip

8. Stadium Swim at Circa Las Vegas

Although this pool is not on the Las Vegas Strip, Stadium Swim so epic that it can’t be ignored. Located in Downtown, it is best described as a massive sportsbook meets luxury pool complex. Featuring six pools on three levels, two spas, the only swim-up bars in Vegas, 30 cabanas and more, everything in this massive outdoor amphitheater centers around the gigantic 40-foot-tall by 143-foot-long LED screen.

With hours from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, 365 days a year (many Vegas pools close during winter), there’s no excuse for not surveying the scene here.
